400lbs of pike in one day!
Here is a story of a notable Day's fishing Tomi and his fishing partner Jacek had on an lough in Ireland in November 2008
Tomi and Jacek have literally taken like a duck to water in the 6 years they have been in Ireland and they are a credit to all Polish fishermen as not only do they catch a lot of fish (mainly big ones) they also return all of their catches even Salmon!
Tomi says it was just one of those days and proceeded to tell us that 40 pike were caught, Yes Tomi it sounds like a fantastic day one we all dream of when the boat finally slips it mooring and we head out , I certainly dream of a day like this!
Over 400lbs of pike for two men in one day most of the pike they caught were double figure not many below 10lbs but some jacks were caught and of course the twenties we all dream of were on show and this time 3 of them were in the net the best going a remarkable 28lbs 12oz and then a 20lb 8oz and a 20lb 4oz
The day had started quite slowly and Tomi and Jacek were trolling some roach and they had a few fish to low doubles on this method, when they decided to switch onto lures and what a good choice it was as fish after fish kept coming to the boat and for them the day wasn’t long enough and to end it with a fish just short of 29lbs is pretty much the icing on the cake. To get the majority of them on lures also is worthy of note.
