Some of my lure caught pike
LUREMANIA
This is my best lure caught pike, we were drifting over a ledge early one January morning when she took a liking to my squirrelly burt. I am glad she did.
This one was caught one october evening on a trolled fatso, she took the scales to just over 24lbs, you thought I would of smiled for such a fish
I had made a batch of homemade lures and this was the second fish I got on one pattern on its first day out, happy days she went 21.12. I like the markings on this vivid coloured pike
This was my first lure caught 20 and I was after her for a long time. I decided that it was time to catch a 20 on a lure and 18months later I got my reward with this one going 21.02 it was caught from the shores of L.Erne on a cast bulldawg in motor oil and orange tail, it was worth a glass of or two of whiskey.
I really enjoyed catching this fish, My second twenty of 2010 and caught on a cast swim bait. I had waded out through some reeds and first cast there was an explosive take and a great battle as she freely pulled line of the clutch. I will remember the take for a while.....
These two sisters were caught on new years eve on trolled bulldawgs, we got the takes at the same time and thought we had snagged the bottom but it turned out to be these two fine conditioned fish, a great way to end 2005
